Explores and snores

Hello

We haven't had such sunny weather but I've still managed some good walkies.

The first one was last week. It didn't start out so well because I had to go in the car. I don't mind going in the car but it's not as good as walkies, the sniffs are not great and there's not much to see. So I usually have a little nap and dream of a good run.  Anyway we had to go in the car because one of MyPeoples had another of those not chewy-up paper meetings.

We had quite a big drive but not as big as the one when we used to live somewhere else as well. MyPeoples went off to his meeting and the other MyPeoples took me for walkies. She wanted to go to the big stone house but guess what? Yes. I WAS NOT ALLOWED.

before I WAS NOT ALLOWED

But a very nice peoples who lived there said "Hello" and that I was lovely, *of course*, and had a talk with me while MyPeoples visited the toilets. Then we met a very handsome tourist dog who said "Hello" and we did sniffs and his peoples told us about a good walkies; which in my opinion (the best one) was much better than visiting the big house.

The walkies started at the top of the car park and was a lovely path right around the hill that the big house is on. For peoples there were bits of wood with stories to tell them about the hill. But I am a dog so I didn't need them. I had my nose and found out all about it from the sniffs.  And I can tell you that there are MANY BUNNIES. I was on my lead because it was a new place so they were able to be QUITE BOLD. In fact one of them SAT RIGHT ON THE PATH IN FRONT OF ME! Pfft!
this is the big house with a walkies around

After the walkies we sat outside Old Town Coffee House and had drinks, I think MyPeoples had something to eat as well, that is why she does not have a trim figure like me.  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Old-town-coffee-house/124600114283578?sk=photos_stream
And of course the peoples there thought that I was lovely and BTs are her favourite dogs. *attempts modest face*

And then it was time to go and meet MyPeoples from his meeting and drive home. So I had a sleep.

And that's what I'm going to do now.

Phew, I need a lie down

I have had a busy, busy week. I think it is because it is sunny. Peoples seem to like walkies more when it is sunny. Peoples are strange, I like walkies in any weathers, well almost, I don't like pavement walkies in the rain very much, but here by my sea, wet walkies are great, lots of sniffs and splashes.

Anyway back to my busy week....
On Monday one of MyPeoples had to go to a meeting about archives which is where peoples keep bit of papers that they don't want you to chew up, so my morning walk was just with one of MyPs. At first I was a bit concerned because she didn't do the proper all the way round walkies and there was not even any peoples doing a trophy with balls and sticks. But after we did the round the road bit and up past the dead peoples place bit we didn't go back to the shop where the car is. We turned the other way!
And so we went to the church, but we didn't go in where I'm not allowed, we went around the side where there was a gate, which we went through, then up to this gate. And through it....

gate, there is another one like this round the side of the church

And then we were up on the hill, with me walking nicely on my lead, but leading, because I ALWAYS know the way even when it's a new walkies. It was quite muddy but MyP didn't mind and I never do.

muddy path

Well almost always, even I got a bit worried at this bit and so we scrambled through some trees taking care not to hurt them. MyPeople got a bit scratched tho' *concerned face*,  but she was ok so that was good.

the very deep mud with the trees we scrambled through just to the side

We met this sheeps pup and I think he liked me a lot but I am a very good dog and so I ignored him. He will just have to learn not to bother dogs.

We had to walk through his field, and MyPeoples is always good and remembers to shut the gates, and I did not look at the sheeps and then we got onto the path to the SEA. And I had a go on the beach.

And then we met MyPeoples who had finished his meeting about bits of paper and he was very pleased to see me and sad he'd missed the walkies.

The next day we got up early and went off in the car which is not exciting because I can't see out. But then we got on a boat which was very good.

we are on this boat looking back at the boat station

we are now looking at the boat where we are not anymore

We sailed to another place called the "Big Garden"* which was very good and had great sniffs and and streams and sea but I was not allowed in *sadface*, they said it was too fast but I am very fast too.

I don't think the sea is too fast

There were lots of other dogs, a BT guarding the path, I was polite; and two VERY BIG dogs who barked but were very nice when they met me properly.

We saw these sheeps who lived in a house.

MyPeoples had lunch outside and then went to look at the stories and we did some more walkies. And guess what? More sheeps pups who wanted to say "hello" . MyPeoples were all excited because they got to stroke them. But really??? I let them stroke me all the time and I have much nicer fur.

the sheeps pups

On the walkies we also met A LOVELY ladyPeoples, who stopped her car specially to say "hello" to me and say I am LOVELY (of course) *blushes with false modesty* and it turns out she is the Peoples of the guard BT so I was very glad I had been polite.

And then it was time to go back on the boat and home for tea.

The next day was quieter because we went to see MyPeoples aunty in Greenock, but she is a nice peoples and loves me very much and furthermore has a very good garden for running in. The only bad thing was that MyPeoples went for a swim in a small sea which looked very nice but I WAS NOT ALLOWED and had to stay and look after My(other)Peoples.

Then yesterday. We went on another boat. Not a big one but there were some cars too. To an island next to our one**. With lots of stones.  We had a lovely walkies and I was very helpful at finding the path and helping MyPeoples climb over cliffs because it is hard when you only have two legs. Even sheeps can manage better than peoples

some cliffs where I was helpful

MyPeoples had lunch that they had brought in a box but I had to look for my own food.

We got home again in time for tea and a nice rest.

Mmmm, sun puddle.

Helping MyPeoples explore

Well it wasn't raining today but that wasn't all good, because when we went for my usual morning walkies there were lots of people doing a trophy which was a game with a ball and sticks. I am very good at games with balls and sticks but guess what? Yes. I WAS NOT ALLOWED. And what's more I had to stay on my lead because they thought I would join in and then the peoples would look bad because I would win. We didn't do the usual way either we went on the road and saw a sheeps with some very strange pups.

sheeps with very strange pups

But it wasn't all bad because it stayed sunny and so we did extra walks this afternoon. It was a bit of one we do a lot, down to the "otter place" but when we got to the beach we turned a different way  and went more along the beach. Lovely stones and sniffs but the peoples said "Ew stinky" because peoples are strange about sniffs.  Then we climbed over the wall, this was very easy for me but a bit harder for MyPeoples, and we went up through the trees.

even peoples could follow this path

showing the way to go

I had been there once before with one of MyPeople but he wasn't sure of the way so I had to help.

this is my helpful face

We went almost to the end of the island. There  were lots of sniffs of deer and bunnies but I was very good and stayed close to show them the best way to go. One of MyPeoples kept stopping to take photos of broken walls and flowers and stuff like that.
I don't know why

And we found where a bird pup had come out of the nest too soon so that was a bit sad.

oh dear this would have been a bird pup

At one bit we could see the top of our house and then we were nearly home. MyPeoples had to climb over but I don't like those things and I am a dog so I could go the better way- underneath.

I can go under

When you get here
and this one

you are nearly at that end of the walk and so  we went home and I had a check of my sea which was quite small and came inside for tea.

I'm hoping we go to the pub for a biscuit later, paws crossed. I'll let you know. Licks'n'wags.
